Makoto Ooka

Renshi, si tratta di poesie legate scritte da diversi poeti, una nuova forma di verso libero di poesia collaborativa adattata dalle forme Renga e Renku, in voga tra i poeti classici giapponesi a partire dal secolo tredicesimo.
Makoto Ooka cominciò a scrivere Renshi negli anni '70 con colleghi della rivista Kai (remi).

1 What the kite thinks
Because a hand holds me down to earth
I can climb the staircase of the sky.
Each time I push against the wind with my shoulders
I am sucked even furhter upward into the bosom of the sky.
Because a hand holds me down to earth
I hold the earth suspended in the air. (Ooka)

In the air rise the curlicues of incense
to pierce my nostrils
with the sense of eternal
that I exale in turn
to mingle with the here and now
